Antheromorpha uncinata is a sleek, medium‑sized paradoxosomatid millipede native to Southeast Asia, especially Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and surrounding regions. Like many members of Antheromorpha, it has a subtly flattened body with pronounced paranota (lateral keels), giving it a crisp, segmented silhouette. Colouration varies by locality including reds, pinks and yellows
In the wild, this species thrives in humid tropical forests, living deep within leaf litter, rotting wood, and rich soil. It’s a classic detritivore, feeding on decomposing leaves, fungal‑infused wood, and microbially active substrate. Behaviourally, A. uncinata is gentle, secretive, and highly moisture‑dependent. They spend much of their time burrowed or tucked beneath logs, emerging at night to forage.
In captivity, they’re hardy but humidity‑sensitive, doing best in warm, moist, well‑ventilated enclosures with deep, organic substrate. They’re excellent candidates for naturalistic or bioactive setups and tend to be peaceful, steady feeders once settled.
