In invertebrate habitats, taru pods work beautifully as micro‑structure. Their curled edges and internal recesses create sheltered pockets that small species instinctively explore—springtails, isopods, juvenile beetles, roaches, and millipedes all make use of the tiny hide spaces. Because the pods break down slowly, they add long‑term texture without collapsing into substrate too quickly.
