Therea regularis, commonly known as the Orange Domino Cockroach, is a vibrant species native to India and admired for its bold orange markings that contrast against a dark, glossy body. These markings are thought to mimic toxic beetles, offering protection through visual deception. Like other Therea species, it inhabits dry forests and scrublands, sheltering under leaf litter and emerging during cooler hours to forage.
In captivity, T. regularis is easy to maintain and feeds on leaf litter, fruits, and protein-rich supplements like bee pollen and fish flakes. Females produce oothecae that are buried in moist substrate, and nymphs take several months to mature. Though less common in collections than T. petiveriana, its striking coloration and calm nature make it a standout species for enthusiasts.
