Porcellionides pruinosus ‘Orange Koi’ is a vibrant, selectively bred morph of the classic P. pruinosus, known for its powdery orange base colour broken up by crisp white patches that resemble koi markings. They’re one of the most eye‑catching beginner‑friendly isopods, combining bold patterning with the species’ naturally active, surface‑dwelling behaviour.
 
Fast, hardy and highly adaptable, Orange Koi thrive in a wide range of setups and quickly establish dense, stable colonies. They tolerate generous ventilation, prefer a simple moisture gradient, and excel as both a display species and a clean‑up crew thanks to their constant foraging and rapid reproduction. Their diet is broad—leaf litter, decayed wood, vegetables and a touch of protein—and they respond well to consistent access to calcium and varied organics.
