Archachatina porphyrostoma, sometimes referred to as the Nigerian Albino Shell Snail, is one of the smallest known species in the Archachatina genus. Native to West Africa, particularly Nigeria, it features a compact shell—typically around 7.5 cm in length—with striking dark and light striping. Its pale body often sports a distinctive dorsal stripe, giving it a unique and appealing look among land snail enthusiasts. In the wild, it thrives in warm, humid environments, feeding on decaying plant matter and contributing to the ecosystem as a gentle decomposer. Despite its modest size, A. porphyrostoma is hardy and relatively easy to care for.

Important Info
Every snail is wonderfully individual, and their shells tell the story of how they’ve grown. From time to time, a snail may arrive with small marks, colour variations, or natural blemishes on the shell. These are completely normal and don’t affect the animal’s health or behaviour.
Shells are living structures that develop over time, so slight imperfections are simply part of each snail’s unique character.
