Green Lynx Spider (Peucetia viridans)

Peucetia viridans, commonly known as the green lynx spider, is a strikingly vibrant arachnid found primarily in the southern United States, Central America, and parts of the Caribbean. Its bright green body and long, spiny legs make it well-camouflaged among foliage, where it hunts insects with agility and precision. Unlike web-building spiders, it actively stalks its prey, often leaping to capture it—hence the name "lynx."
