Achrioptera manga is a spectacular species of stick insect (phasmid) native to the dry deciduous forests of northern Madagascar. Unlike most phasmids that rely on cryptic camouflage, the males of this species are brilliantly blue, with orange accents on their legs, making them one of the most visually striking insects in the world. Females are larger and more subdued in coloration, typically brownish with subtle red markings.
Despite their flamboyant appearance, they’re masters of mimicry, often remaining motionless to resemble twigs. They’re herbivorous, feeding on leaves, and have a relatively long lifespan for insects. The species was only formally described in 2019, having previously been misidentified as Achrioptera fallax — a close relative with green males

Reviews
I purchased 4 of these lovely stick insects and they arrived quickly and were very well packaged along with some food for the journey. They had plenty of space for their journey and were not all crammed in the box at all. They have settled in really nicely since (I have lost one to a bad moult but that is no fault of the seller these things happen sometimes) one has had a successful moult, they are eating really well and they are getting on well with my other stick insects too would buy again!
