The Khon Kaen Pill Millipede is a compact, dark Thai species that grows to around 3–3.5 cm and forms a perfectly sealed defensive ball when disturbed. Its smooth, deep brown armour gives it a neat, understated look, making it a great choice for keepers who enjoy natural behaviour over flashy colours.
This species comes from northeastern Thailand, where it lives in deep leaf litter and decaying wood. In the terrarium it behaves exactly the same — calm, steady, and happiest when tucked into a rich, moist substrate. You’ll mostly see it during feeding or after a misting, but its quiet nature makes it a lovely addition to any forest‑floor setup.
Z. enghoffi is a robust, low‑maintenance pill millipede with classic rolling behaviour and a gentle temperament. It’s ideal for keepers who appreciate subtle species and enjoy watching natural burrowing, feeding, and substrate‑turning activity.
