Creoboter gemmatus, commonly known as the jeweled flower mantis, is a small, ornate mantid species native to South and Southeast Asia. Its compact body is adorned with vivid green and cream markings, often featuring a distinctive eyespot on the wings that resembles a gemstone—hence its name. Adapted to warm, dry environments, it mimics flowers and foliage to ambush prey with lightning-fast strikes. Despite its delicate appearance, C. gemmatus is a hardy predator, feeding on small insects and thriving in well-ventilated enclosures with moderate humidity and plenty of vertical space.
