Tropidomantis tenera is a small, delicate species of praying mantis native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Females typically reach about 2.5 cm in length, with males being slightly smaller. This species is easily recognized by a distinct yellow median line that runs from the thorax to the tip of the abdomen. Belonging to the family Nanomantidae, T. tenera is known for its slender build and subtle coloration, which help it blend into foliage. Despite its modest size, it exhibits the classic mantid predatory behavior, using its spined forelegs to snatch small prey.
