Anisomorpha buprestoides, commonly known as the two-striped walkingstick or devil rider, is a stout, wingless phasmid native to the southeastern United States. Notable for its bold longitudinal stripes and strong chemical defense, this species can emit a noxious spray from thoracic glands that may cause irritation or temporary blindness in predators when startled.
