Brazilian Saphire Pinktoe Tarantula (Ybyrapora diversipes)

Ybyrapora diversipes, the Brazilian Blue‑Green Pinktoe, is one of the most visually striking arboreal tarantulas available. Native to the Atlantic Forest of Bahia, this species grows into an extraordinary palette of colours—emerald greens, deep blues, soft purples, and warm orange accents that shift beautifully with age. Even juveniles are impressive, displaying bold tiger‑striping that gradually transitions into the full adult spectrum, making every moult a noticeable transformation.

In behaviour, Y. diversipes is fast, alert, and highly arboreal, often choosing to sit out on its webbing rather than hide away. It builds neat, structured tube webs among vertical décor, creating attractive retreats that showcase its colours. Despite its speed, it is not an aggressive species; instead, it relies on agility and distance, making it manageable for keepers who understand the typical rhythm of New World arboreals.

For anyone who enjoys vibrant display species, Ybyrapora diversipes is a standout choice. It combines striking colour, elegant movement, and engaging behaviour in a compact arboreal package—ideal for keepers who want something both beautiful and active in their collection.
