  • Diet: Small insects such as crickets, locusts, worm, mealworms (on average 2 or so crickets every 2 days). Adults will take small pinkies and cockroaches

    Temperature: 24-29C daytime, 18 - 24C evening

    Housing: Ground space is important for this species. They are relatively inactive but do like to bury in damp substrate. Ensure substrate is easy to burrow into such as coco fibre or peat. The use of moss will help keep humidity. Ensure substrate is damp but not soaking wet.

    Native to: Grassland of Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil
